Richard C. Blum
Dick Blum is Chairman and President of Blum Capital Partners, L.P., and is Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Newbridge Capital L.L.C. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc., and is a director of Fairmont Raffles Holding International, Current Media, L.L.C and Myer Pty Ltd. Mr. Blum is Founder and Chairman of the American Himalayan Foundation (AHF), and is Honorary Consul to Mongolia and the Kingdom of Nepal. In 2006, with a $15M grant from Mr. Blum, the Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California, Berkeley was established. He also founded the Global Economy and Development Center at The Brookings Institution and the Blum-Brookings Conference. Mr. Blum is Chairman of the University of California Board of Regents, and Trustee and a member of the Executive Committee of The Carter Center, founded by former President Jimmy Carter. He currently serves on the boards of The World Wildlife Fund, The Wilderness Society, The Glide Foundation, The California Academy of Sciences and The American Cancer Foundation. Mr. Blum earned both his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He received an honorary doctoral degree from the University of San Francisco's McLaren College of Business in 2006. Mr. Blum, who is married to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, has four daughters and six grandchildren.
