The Global Fight

The Global Fund has a powerful ally in the United States: Friends of the Global Fight.

The Global Fund was formed in 2002 to finance a dramatic turn-around in the fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. With funding to date of over $4.6 billion from governments, corporations, foundations and individuals, the Global Fund provides a valuable new resource to fight these three deadly diseases. Friends of the Global Fight, founded by Edward W. Scott, Jr. and headed by Natasha Bilimoria, is a Washington, D.C. based advocacy organization that seeks to build a sustained commitment from U.S. policymakers to supporting the Global Fund. Friends of the Global Fight played an active role in the recent U.S. Congressional approval of $841 million to support the Global Fund, an increase of 16% over 2007 funding. Endeavor has worked closely with Ed Scott and Friends of the Global Fight's board and staff to create, launch and sustain this powerful voice for the Global Fund.
