Haitian Ambassador and Grammy-Award Winning entertainer Wyclef Jean is working to bring awareness, investors, and tourists to his native country.

Haiti remains the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. As Haitian Ambassador-At-Large, Wyclef Jean is working to alleviate the plight of Haitians by increasing the effectiveness of foreign aid, engaging directly in the international diplomatic process, and supporting grassroots programs in education, health, environment and community development. In 2007, Wyclef campaigned successfully for the US Congress to pass a trade bill that levels the playing field for the textile industry in Haiti and puts his country on a more solid course toward sustainable development. Wyclef is now working with governments, corporations and individuals to bring increased private sector investment to Haiti. Endeavor negotiated Ambassador Jean's diplomatic role directly with Haitian President René Preval, and works closely with Wyclef on his economic development and philanthropic initiatives.
